Meal Motion Privacy Policy

Meal Motion (“the App”) helps you estimate meal calories from a photo and shows exercise-equivalent results, including a “Just for fun” equivalent. This Privacy Policy explains what the App collects, how it is used, and your choices.

1) Information the App Collects

A. Information you enter

The App stores the following information on your device:

• Profile data, such as height, weight, age, optional gender, optional goal, and preferred activity.

• Optional notes you add to saved meals.

• Settings, such as units and fun-mode options.

B. Photos

When you take a photo or choose one from your photo library, the image is used to estimate calories. If you choose Save to History, the App stores a copy of the meal photo inside the App’s private storage on your device.

C. Network data

To estimate calories, the App may send:

• a resized version of your meal photo, and

• a short prompt asking for a calorie estimate

to the AI proxy endpoint configured in the App.

2) How the App Uses Information

The App uses the information it collects to:

• estimate calories from your meal photo;

• calculate a standard exercise equivalent based on calories, your weight, and your preferred activity;

• generate a fun equivalent that is clearly labeled as entertainment only;

• show your history and daily summary, including goal or target information if you provide one.

3) Sharing and Disclosures

A. AI processing provider

When AI estimation is used, your meal photo and prompt are operated by a third party. Their handling, logging, retention, and security practices are not controlled by the App. By using AI estimation, you consent to transmitting the image to this service.

B. Sharing features

If you tap Share, the App uses Apple’s system share sheet to share the content you choose, such as an image or text, with the apps or services you select.

4) Data Storage and Retention

• Profile and settings are stored locally on your device.

• Saved meal records, including saved photos, are stored locally in the App’s private storage.

• You can delete items from History to remove saved records and photos from the App.

5) Security

The App stores saved history files using iOS file protection where available. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, so you use the App at your own discretion.

6) Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, remove it from the device and stop using the App.

7) Your Choices

You can:

• use the App without saving history, so meal images are not stored long-term;

• delete saved meals at any time;

• disable fun mode in Settings.

8) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above.
